The Shift: From Self to Serve
Diana’s anchor mindset is simple and demanding: look for the opportunity, not the problem. That doesn’t ignore pain; it matches it with intentionality—choosing purpose, generosity, and presence in the middle of hard things.
- Opportunity can look like encouraging one person in a waiting room.
- It can be asking your doctor, “How can I help?” during treatment.
- It can be modeling strength for your family, team, or community.
“If I focus only on the problem, I’ll miss the people I can meet, help, or learn from.” – Diana Fritz.
Strengthen Your Resilience – Part 1
“Help one—because one matters. That’s how a ripple begins.”
When pain or stress surges, intent is oxygen. Diana’s story reflects beautifully the Plan To Be Your Best approach:
- Tune In — Notice fatigue, fear, or spiraling thoughts early.
- Plan — Choose your next right step (even a 90-second reset counts).
- Be Your Best — Show up with clarity, compassion, and steadiness.
Practical resets Diana uses: brief workouts, morning reflection/prayer, journaling before tough conversations, and serving someone else to reset perspective.
Strengthen Your Resilience – Part 2
Diana’s G.R.I.T. framework:
G—Grace: Extend it to yourself and others.
R—Resilience: Get back up, learn, and keep moving.
I—Influence: Lead through how you serve and communicate.
T—Trust: Build it consistently—through honesty, care, and follow-through.
On communication and influence: align your style to your audience, communicate on a steady cadence, and invite solutions (not just problems). Trust grows when people feel seen, informed, and included.
Gratitude is a steadying practice for both Diana and me. In the hardest moments, naming even one thing you’re thankful for can shift the inner weather. As Diana put it: what we focus on, we begin to experience.
“He who refreshes others will be refreshed.” —Proverbs 11:25
Each morning: Write a single opportunity you’ll look for today.
At midday: Serve one person (message, check-in, small help).
In the evening: Journal one lesson learned + one gratitude.
On day 7: Share one story with a friend or team—let the ripple grow.
